Born in Taxco, Mexico in 1919, Antonio Piñeda became one of the finest craftsmen of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. At age 14, he began as an apprentice to William Spratling. After 8 years with Spratling, he was a master in his own right, and founded his own workshop in 1941. Worked primarily in .970 silver, with some .925 sterling and .980 in early years.
