Founded by Barton A. Ballou. Primarily a findings manufacturer, it also produced limited amounts of fine and costume jewelry. The source credits it with the modern rollover safety clasp, first used in the 1930s. W.R. Cobb acquired B.A. Ballou in 2009 after it entered receivership.
