About Markowitsch & Scheid
In 1858, Georg Adam Scheid moved to Vienna, Austria and began working at the shop of Michael Markowitsch. In 1862, Scheid married one of Markowitsch's daughters and they renamed the company to Markowitsch & Scheid. In 1882, they split and Scheid opened his own company which became very successful. Markowitsch & Scheid then became Markowitsch & Son before ultimately closing in 1898.
