About Monocraft Products Co., Inc.

Monocraft, the parent company of Monet, was founded by Michael and Jay Chernow in New York in 1927. General Mills purchased it in 1968. It was a subsidiary of Crystal Brands Jewelry Group from 1989 to 1994, and belonged to Chase Capital Partners and Lattice Holding as a division of the Monet Group from 1994 to 2000. Liz Claiborne bought the Monet Group, including Trifari and Marvella, in July 2000.
