About Albert King
Albert Henry King (1900–1982) studied at the Los Angeles Art Students League and established Lotus and Acanthus Studios with his wife, Louisa Anne Etcheverry King. Their high-fired porcelain reflected his interest in Chinese Song ceramics. He supervised ceramics for the Federal Art Project from 1936 to 1939 and led execution of the large Long Beach Municipal Auditorium mosaic mural, completed in 1937.
