About Amstel
The Amstel porcelain factory opened in 1784 using equipment transferred from Loosdrecht. I. Hoppe owned it initially, with production directed by F. Dübler. Later owners included the Donners, who obtained a Royal Household supplier title. It made high-quality table services, large vases and antique-style busts and received a silver medal in 1808. The factory closed in 1814.
