About Benjamin Adams
Benjamin Adams (1787–1828) inherited the Greengates pottery in Tunstall from his father William. He made earthenware and jasper-type ware but sold the works to Meir in 1820 after commercial difficulties. The Adams family bought Greengates back around 1858.
