About Bohne
Ernst Bohne founded a porcelain painting business in 1848; the Rudolstadt factory developed from it, with a kiln built in 1850 and a factory foundation generally placed in 1854. His sons continued the business after his death in 1856. Gebrüder Heubach acquired it in 1919, and Albert Stahl took over the Rudolstadt branch in 1937. Products included ivory and Capodimonte imitations, biscuit figures and Dresden-style wares.
