About Bourne & Leigh (Ltd)

Bourne & Leigh made earthenware at the Albion Pottery in Burslem, later renamed the Leighton Pottery. E. Bourne appears to have left the partnership in 1913, when J.E. Leigh was joined by A.W. Potter. The business incorporated in 1937 with an interest held by Gerald Wood and others. It closed under the wartime concentration scheme in 1941 and did not reopen.
