Victoria Foundry occupies the former Victoria Pottery site; the former Salvation Army Citadel stands to its right.
Cartwright & Edwards began in Longton around 1857–1858 and built the Borough Pottery in 1868–1869. It later operated the Victoria and Heron Cross works. Alfred Clough acquired it in 1955; it subsequently traded as Cartwrights of England. Manufacturing ceased after receivers were appointed in June 1990.
