About Chodov
The Chodov factory began with Franz Miessl’s pottery licence in 1811 and received a porcelain licence in 1835. Moses Portheim acquired it in 1842; Haas & Czjzek bought it in 1872. It was nationalized in 1945 and later joined Karlovarský porcelain, producing hand-decorated pink porcelain.
