About Dr. George Gladstone Clayton George Bailey
Clayton Bailey (1939–2020) made pottery, ceramic sculpture and mixed-media work incorporating found objects, mechanical effects and humour. His ceramics included thrown stoneware, slip-cast sculpture and hand-built forms. He developed the fictional alter ego Dr. George Gladstone and taught at Hayward State College from 1968 to 1997.
