About Cynthia Bringle
Cynthia Bringle was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1939 and studied at Memphis Academy of Art and Alfred University. She established a Memphis studio in 1965, moved permanently to Penland in 1970 and taught at the Penland School of Craft. Her domestic wares are primarily stoneware, sometimes porcelain, with painted, faceted or incised surfaces. She also taught seasonally at Haystack and Penland.
