About Denton China (Longton Ltd)
Denton China made bone china in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Herbert Lawson established the business; after his death in January 1949 Mrs D. M. Lawson continued it. John Aynsley & Sons bought it in December 1968 and discontinued Denton production in September 1969. It chiefly made ornamental floral arrangements, birds, jewellery and baskets, as well as Toby jugs.
