A faience factory opened in Chodau near Karlovy Vary in 1811 and began porcelain production in 1835. J. Huttner and J. Dietl owned it in 1835–1845, followed by M. P. Portheim and sons in 1845–1872 and Haas and Czjzek from 1872. Its products included tableware, coffee sets, inkstands, figurines and bisque busts.
