About Edelstein
Julius Edelstein and Isidor Grünebaum bought the Oberfränkische Porzellanfabrik at Küps in 1919 and renamed it Porzellanfabrik Edelstein GmbH. After bankruptcy in 1932, Colditz AG took over the factory as Porzellanfabrik J. Edelstein AG. Julius Edelstein and his wife Margaretha were deported to Riga and murdered in 1941. The factory produced thin-walled porcelain with reliefs, floral decoration and gilding, drawing on Neo-Baroque, Rococo and Empire styles.
