About Erdmann Schlegelmilch
The Erdmann Schlegelmilch porcelain factory was founded in Suhl in 1861 by Leonard Schlegelmilch and his brothers and named for their father. Leonard’s son Julius Martin continued after Leonard died in 1899. Production declined with the Great Depression, and the factory finally closed in 1937.
