About Gerold
Neue Porzellanfabrik Tettau was founded in 1904 by three traders, including Bernhard Gerold, and mainly produced porcelain figures. Hans Pülz managed it, followed by Ernst Büttner from 1913 to 1925. It became a stock company in 1923. Fritz Gerold took control in 1937, and the name became Neue Porzellanfabrik Tettau, Gerold & Co. Part of the factory served military production during the Second World War. The name was shortened to Porzellanfabrik Gerold & Company in 1960.
Bankruptcy followed in 1993. Lindner acquired assets and the trademark in 1997, and the trademark later passed to the Seltmann Weiden Group.
