About Gladstone China (Longton) Ltd
Thomas Poole acquired George Procter & Co in 1939 and renamed it Gladstone China (Longton) Ltd. The pottery closed temporarily during the war, reopened in 1945 and became part of Thomas Poole & Gladstone China Ltd in 1948.
