About Holmes, Stonier & Hollinshead
Charles Holmes, John Stonier and John Hollinshead made earthenware at the Upper Hanley Works in High Street, Hanley. Holmes joined Hollinshead & Stonier in 1875. The partnership was declared bankrupt in 1882; Holmes departed and Oliver joined, continuing the business as Stonier, Hollinshead & Oliver.
