About Hoods Ltd
Hoods Ltd was registered in January 1895 to acquire Joseph Hood’s hardware business in Birmingham. It began pottery manufacture at the International Works, Fenton, in 1919, producing earthenware, china, crested ware and industrial ceramics. Pottery production appears to have ended around 1947; the Birmingham hardware business continued at least until 1951.
