About Horodnitsa (Gorodnitsa)

The Gorodnitsa factory in Volyn was founded in 1799 by Prince Józef Czartoryski and became known for English-style faience. Wacław Rulikowski bought the estate in 1856 and expanded production, but sold the factory in 1878. After a fire in 1880, A. F. Sussmann leased the factory in 1882 and restored production. It was nationalized after the 1917 revolution, partly destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt.

It later cooperated with the Leningrad Institute of Porcelain and Earthenware and produced porcelain tableware and figurines.
