About Huta Franciszka
Richard and Józef Czuday founded Huta Franciszka in Bykowina in 1929. Following a temporary closure, production resumed in 1932 under a company established by the Savings Bank of Katowice Poviat. German occupiers renamed it Porzellanfabrik Franzhütte in 1939. Ryszard Czuday bought it in 1944, but it was nationalized in 1945 and later merged with the Bogucice porcelain factory. Production served the local Silesian market.
