About J H Davis
John Heath Davis became sole proprietor of the Trent Pottery, Hanley, in July 1875 after his brother James retired. The business made ironstone china, earthenware, cabinet goods and sanitary ware. In 1881 it employed 130 men, 40 women and 30 children.
