appear to be & Co and probably relate to James Beech & Co.
James Beech became sole proprietor of the former Beech & Hancock business in 1877, operating the Swan Bank Works in Tunstall. He died in 1887, and the business continued until Boulton, Machin & Tennant took over in 1889. It made earthenware including transfer-printed patterns. This business was unrelated to James Beech & Son of Longton.
