About Jeff Oestreich Jeffrey Oestreich
Jeffrey Oestreich studied at Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota, where Warren MacKenzie introduced him to ceramics. He apprenticed at the Leach Pottery in St Ives from 1969 to 1971. His functional stoneware and porcelain combines throwing, altering and slab construction, often with Art Deco motifs on contrasting grounds. He moved from wood firing to soda firing in the early 1980s.
