About John Dimmock & Co
John Dimmock & Co manufactured earthenware at the Albion Works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Following the dissolution of Thomas Dimmock junior’s partnership in 1860, the works were rebuilt and the firm took the John Dimmock & Co name in 1862. John Dimmock died in 1866. From about 1878 W. D. Cliff owned the business, which continued under the Dimmock name while many marks included Cliff.
