Water Lilly is the pattern name. The source attributes the mark to John Ridgway but says the meaning of CP is unknown, possibly an agent or distributor.

John Ridgway manufactured porcelain and earthenware at Cauldon Place in Shelton after his partnership with his brother William ended in 1830. His partners included Thomas Sanders Bale, John Ridgway Bale and Robert Brown. After changes in 1846, John Ridgway and Thomas Sanders Bale continued together until their partnerships were dissolved in 1854. The firm exhibited at the Great Exhibition in 1851 and used varied transfer-printed marks and pattern names.
