John Shaw and Sons began making ornamental and table ware at the Drewry Works in Longton in 1920. The source records registration as John Shaw & Sons (Longton) Ltd on 5 July 1933. The business used the Willow, Warwick and Phoenix potteries at different times, making earthenware and china under the Burlington names. Production ceased during the wartime concentration scheme.
