About Jun Kaneko
Jun Kaneko makes monumental ceramic heads and ovoid forms called dangos, alongside murals, wall plaques and platters. Born in Japan, he moved to the United States in 1963 and studied with Jerry Rothman, Peter Voulkos and Paul Soldner. His first monumental dangos were made at the Omaha Brickworks in the early 1980s.
