About Khayta

The Perevalov brothers founded a porcelain and faience factory near Mishelevka, Irkutsk province, in 1869. It became a joint-stock business in 1898 and was nationalized and reconstructed in the 1920s as the First State Khayta Porcelain Factory, Sibfarfor. Earthenware production ended in 1920; later production included household and technical porcelain.
