About Kirov
The Pesochnya Faience Factory began ceramic production in 1853 under Sergei Maltsev. It was leased to M. S. Kuznetsov in 1899 and purchased in 1911, then nationalized in 1919. It was renamed for Kirov in 1937 and later changed from constructional faience to porcelain in its name.
