About Kolo Faience Factory

Józef Freudenreich and Henryk Wendler began production in Koło in 1842. The Freudenreich family developed faience and stoneware works there. The factory was nationalized after the Second World War, later merged with other ceramic works, and privatized in the 1990s as Janpol, subsequently Stanpol. Production ceased in 2008.
