About Konakovo
The Konakovo factory was established in 1809 and later passed to Kuznetsov. Nationalized in 1918, it resumed production in 1923 and adopted Kalinin-related names. Its art laboratory, established in 1934, developed new designs alongside mass-produced faience, and the factory won the Grand Prix at the 1937 Paris exposition.
