About Lanternier
François Frédéric Lanternier founded a porcelain workshop in 1857 and, with Breuil, took over the Chabrol factory. Alfred Lanternier joined in 1890 and the company became A. Lanternier & Co. It acquired another factory at Limoges, made porcelain dolls during the First World War and continued luxury porcelain production afterward. It merged with GDA Limoges in the late 1960s.
