About Les Lawrence
Les Lawrence makes sculptural objects based on functional forms, using decals and transfers on thin porcelain. Dollar bills are a recurring motif. He developed silkscreen and casting-slip processes and magnetic-toner ceramic decals. His New Vision series combines transferred imagery with sculptural vessel forms. He taught at Grossmont College from 1970 to 2005.
