About Lettin porcelain
Heinrich Baensch established the Lettin porcelain factory in 1858. Production resumed in 1946 after financial difficulties and the Second World War. The factory was gradually nationalized and produced as VEB Porzellanwerk from 1953. It collaborated with Kunsthochschule Burg Giebichenstein from the 1960s. Production ended after privatization in 1990.
