Berlin was made for the American market. Berlin Swirl uses paired plume decoration.
Liddle Elliot & Son made earthenware and blue-printed ware at Dale Hall Works in Longport, Burslem. Liddle Elliot continued independently after the Mayer & Elliot partnership dissolved in April 1860. After his death in March 1869, the business continued under his son as Bates, Elliot & Co.
