About Malcolm Wright
Malcolm Wright studied at Marlboro College and George Washington University and apprenticed with Takashi Nakazato in Karatsu, Japan, from 1968 to 1970. He and his wife Marjorie established Turnpike Road Pottery in Marlboro, Vermont, in 1970. He makes functional and sculptural work in stoneware, porcelain and brick clay, using a wood-fired kiln based on a Korean design.
