About Mara Superior
Mara Superior is known for porcelain based on functional and sculptural forms, decorated with sprigging and intricate underglaze painting. Her press-moulded or slab-built work draws on American folk imagery, travel, home, animals and politics. She helped found Pinch Pottery/Ferrin Gallery in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1979.
