Juda Mardaschev founded the ceramic business in Fenino village in 1830. It made faience and porcelain. Management passed to his son Lev in 1844, and to Lev’s son Vasily in 1853, working with his brothers Ivan and Timofei. The business later divided into two factories, both of which closed in 1861.
