About Markredtwitz Jaeger

A porcelain decorating studio was established in Marktredwitz in 1872. Christoph Jaeger, Wilhelm Jaeger and Fritz Thomas began porcelain production as Jaeger, Thomas & Co. in 1897. Thomas left in 1903, after which the business became Porzellanfabrik Marktredwitz, Jaeger & Co. It received a gold medal at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. Production continued through both world wars and ended in 1986 after the business was sold to Sebring.
