About Peggy Paver Beck Peggy Beck Evans
Peggy Beck Evans, née Paver, made wheel-thrown functional ware using her own high-fire stoneware bodies and glazes. She also produced limited molded wares, commissioned tableware, tiles and sculpture. She organized Indiana University's first ceramics course in 1949, taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and moved to Connecticut in 1951 to teach at Avon Old Farms School.
