About Plaue Schierholz
The Heuäcker brothers founded the Plaue manufactory, later joined by Christian Gottfried Schierholz. It became known for lithophanes produced from 1849. After successive family ownership it became Von Schierholz Porzellan Manufaktur Plaue GmbH. It was nationalized after the Second World War, regained the Von Schierholz name in 1990 and joined the Tettau company in 1995.
