About Portland Pottery Ltd
Portland Pottery made earthenware at the Regal Works in Cobridge. Incorporated in 1945, it was part of the Lawley Group by 1949, joined Ridgways (Bedford Works) in 1953 and became a Ridgway Potteries subsidiary in 1955. The company was wound up in 1956, while Portland Pottery continued as a trade name.
