About Proletariy
The Bronnitsa factory near Novgorod began as P. K. Reichel’s pottery and brickyard in 1882 and switched to porcelain and faience in 1884. Ivan Kuznetsov acquired it in 1892. After nationalisation it entered the NovGubFarfor trust in 1921 and became Proletariy in 1922. Evacuated to Krasnoyarsk in 1942, it returned in 1944. Thin-walled porcelain production was established in 1967.
