Ratcliffe & Co. succeeded Lowe, Ratcliffe & Co. after that partnership ended in December 1889. Thomas Ratcliffe and John Siddall operated at Gold Street Works, Longton, moving to Clarence Works in 1896. Alfred Bailey Jones left the partnership in 1901 and Siddall in 1908; Ratcliffe continued under the firm name.
