About R Hall
Ralph Hall made earthenware and stone china at Swan Bank Works, Tunstall. He had worked with his brother John before their partnership ended in 1822, and specialised in blue transfer-printed series for North America. His son joined in 1836 and the business became R. Hall & Co. in 1841. Trading ceased around 1849.
