About Richard Leach Richard Barrie Leach
Richard Barrie Leach (1923–2000) made functional pottery and sculpture using atmospheric firing, including wood and salt. He taught ceramics and sculpture at Albion College from 1953 to 1982 and later served there as artist in residence. He also taught kiln building, including two-chamber catenary-arch kilns for different firing conditions.
