Edward Ridgway and Leonard James Abington made earthenware and relief-moulded stoneware jugs at Church Works, Hanley. Abington was an experienced carver and modeller. They registered numerous relief designs in the 1840s and 1850s. Their partnership ended in July 1860, when Abington retired and Edward Ridgway continued the business.
